Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan promises CASH reward for Black Queens if they win All Africa Games gold
Asamoah Gyan has revealed he is preparing a personal reward package for the Ghana's women national team if they win gold at the 2015 All Africa Games.
The Black Stars captain has been following the exploits of the Black Queens at the ongoing games in Brazzaville, Congo.
Gyan met with the women’s team in Brazzaville earlier this month while he was with the Black Stars for the friendly match against Congo.
It was during this meeting that Gyan promised the Black Queens of a ‘bigger reward’ after donating $10,000 to the team.
The Shanghai SIPG striker who is currently nursing an injury is now reminding Yusif Basigi’s side of his pledge a few hours before taking to the field in the finals of the 2015 All Africa Games against Cameroon.
“In my meeting with the team before they started the competition I told them they can go all the way to make our nation proud,” Gyan told his official website AsamoahGyan3.com.
“I told them they stood to gain a much bigger reward from me if they strive for success as my way of motivating the team.
“Our prayers are with the team and I will be watching and supporting the side with keen interest.
“I saw the hunger in the faces of the players when I first met them and I believe that hunger and drive they have will carry them to gold.”
