Former Ghana U23 attacker Maxwell Boadu Acosty has admitted he handled the ball before scoring the winner for Latina against Ascoli in the Italian Serie B on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old who holds an Italian passport scored a 4th minute opener for Latina, a goal which was contended by Ascoli but it stood as the difference between the two sides.

However Boadu and Latina coach have both admitted the striker handled the ball before scoring.

Acosty has had loan spells with Juve Stabia, Modena, Carpi and Chievo Verona all on loan spells from Fiorentina.
