Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that Sallah celebrations schedule to take place on Thursday the 7th of July brought about the change in date as some CAF officials will be on holiday if it were to be played on the date earlier fixed.

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will now depart the shores of Nigeria on Thursday next week ahead of the first leg tie in Khartoum in the final rounds of qualifiers for next year AYC which Nigeria are defending champions after winning the last edition held in Senegal.
