The coach Olowookere led girls defeated Chile on Monday afternoon to book their place in the second round of the tournament but have an uphill task against the United States if they're to continue in the tournament.
The United like the Flamingos are yet to win the tournament which has North Korea as the most successful team.
The two team will go head to head during noon on Friday for a place in the semifinals.
