German Player Union wants Schalke to recall dismissed   Kevin-Prince Boateng or face legal action, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The umbrella body of the professional footballers in the European country are unhappy with the decision of the Bundesliga oufit to sack the 28-year-old.

The group claim Schalke are making using the suspended Ghanaian international as a scapegoat for their poor managerial skills this season.

Schalke have suspended Boateng and teammate Sidney Sam after their 2-0 defeat against Cologne left them struggling for Europea qualification.

But the group has warned it would be force to take legal action against the club if the two players are not recalled.

"If players are not promptly reintegrated into the team, the VDV will  legal action against their employers,” the group said in a statement.

"That two individual players are being used as scapegoats and misrepresented in the public.

“This reflects badly on the club and is negatively perceive abroad by players, fans and sponsors." “ A license player generally has a right to participate in the games. This is a fundamental pillar of the labour law and  the court have repeatedly said that.

“There is no legal basis, to exclude players randomly from the game - and training session.”

Boateng, a target of Dortmund and Galatasarry, is contracted to the Royal Blues until 2016.
