Ex-Kotoko chief Jarvis Peprah blames David Duncan for club's poor form this season
Ex-Kotoko chief Jarvis Peprah has blamed David Duncan for the side’s downward spiral in the Ghanaian top-flight this season, claiming he’s reaping the seeds for his ‘hatred’ for the club.
Duncan is under increasing pressure following a rather difficult start to life at the club.
The performance of the team keeps deteriorating each passing week in an unflattering episode which has angered their teeming followers.
Kotoko recorded their worst defeat in the top-flight at home in 80-years after losing 3-0 against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday to heighten their precarious situation on the league table.
And former chief executive Jarvis Peprah, who kicked against the appointment of the former Hearts trainer, has put the blame squarely on his doorstep.
“The Technical Head is to blame for the despair of Asante Kotoko, I said publicly that Duncan dislikes Asante Kotoko, even before he was assigned the coaching job, maybe he changed his mind later when he got the job,” he told Accra-based Kasapa FM
“I said Duncan was a good coach because of the earlier incredible wins for the club but this will not change my decision about him now”.
Kotoko trek to Sogakofe on Wednesday where they take on a hugely talented side in WAFA where another defeat could prove disastrous.
