Ex-Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan has been lined up to replace Mas-ud Dramani as new Asante Kotoko coach, Oman FM has reported.

According to the credible Accra-based radio station, Dramani’s days at Kotoko are numbered following the side’s unflattering start to their Premier League defence.

The former Ghana national female Under-17 coach is under mounting pressure after their 2-1 defeat to regional Ashantigold, which has left them 10th on the league log.

According to reports, top officials of the Porcupine Warriors have held closed door negotiations with the tough-talking trainer over the possibility of taking over the Kotoko job.

Dramani is losing the plot of winning a historic personal hat-trick of a Premier League crown with growing reports suggesting he is losing support in the boardroom which has prompted speculations about his long-term future at the club.

Duncan is the second high-profile coach to be linked with the club after GHANAsoccernet.com revealed on Wednesday that the Kumasi-based side is in talks with Bashir Hayford for the same role.

Duncan is a top notch coach with vast experience on the local scene and currently unemployed after leaving Hearts two years ago.

But his perceived ‘hatred’ for the Porcupine Warriors could become a major stumbling block in the supposed deal.
