Ex-Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah won his first CAF inter-clubs competition match by leading Al Khartoum to beat Zambian side Power Dynamos 1-0 in their 2015 CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round qualifier.

Former Cotonsport striker Dauda Camilo scored in the 20th minute after the Cameroon striker beat the offside trap when he latched on to a long pass from Ghana midfielder Johan Arthur.

Two minutes later, Camilo again had the ball at the back of Power's net but his goal was disallowed.

Ten minutes from fulltime, Power were fortunate to remain with eleven men after striker Alex Ngonga escaped with a yellow card for elbowing an Al Khartoum defender.

Power host Al Khartoum at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on March 1 needing a 2-0 home win to advance to the first round of the tournament.
