Ghanaian winger Ernest Asante maintained his impressive scoring run in Norway as he claimed his fourth goal in four straight games for Stabaek who brushed aside Vålerenga 2-0 in the Eliteserien on Saturday.

The 26-year-old cemented the win for Bod Bradley's men with a fabulous finish in the 64th minute at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.

Asante artfully controlled a pass just outside of the box, cut through a defender and turned in another as he wheeled inside the box before beating the keeper with a well-taken low drive to the middle right.

Norwegian international Adama Diomandé had given the host the lead with a 35th minute penalty but were reduced to ten men.

Asante was played through unmarked in the first-half to wrap up the victory in the first-half but he mistimed his kick and tripped inside the box.

And, had also forced a save from the host keeper after he hammered punchy drive from inside the 16-yard box.

However that did not stop Asante from scoring his 4th goal in 4 games for Stabaek and seal the points for his side.

While Asante was in full-time action, his Ghanaian compatriot Kamal Issah was not in the squad for the game.
