Despite bossing the Belgian Pro League, one would've expected Paul Onuachu to move to a team with pedigree if at all he wants to leave Belgium but a move to Southampton was actually one of the least expected for the lanky Nigerian forward.
However, he moved with the desire to fulfill his dreams of playing in the Premier League not minding the condition and pattern of play of the club interested in his services and with almost a month since his arrived England, he is yet to find his magic touch in front of goals.
It was a memorable win for Southampton against Chelsea on Saturday, a result that can change their fortune at the bottom of the log as the season progresses but the concern is whether Onuachu dreams won't turn to a nightmare.
As a king in Belgium, Onuachu wasn't expected to come dominate England immediately but he should have put into consideration the team's pattern of play before chosing them and should he fail to light up the EPL with goals this season to help Southampton escape the drop, it'll be one of the worst ever transfer decision taken by a Nigerian.
We await the first of what we term many for Paul Onuachu in the Premier League as his Southampton visit Leeds United for their next league game on Saturday.
