After an explosive encounter, the People's Elephant defeated the league strugglers 0-1 at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.

Lobi Stars continued to dominate possession, but there was no real threat. However, with just five minutes to the end of the first half, the visitors made one count when Ifeanyi Ihemekwele capitalized on a well-timed through pass to score.
In the second half, Lobi Stars continued just like they did in the second half creating chances, but no real threat was to the goalkeeper in the early period of the second half.

Enyimba had another chance after Joseph Atule's shot was brilliantly denied by Lobi Stars' goalkeeper Japheth Opubo, who pushed it over the bar in the 69th minute.
Lobi Stars continued to search for a goal, but the Aba giants remained resolute at the back to keep the 0-1 scoreline at the end.
The win is Enyimba FC's second away win of the season which takes them to 8th on the log while Lobi Stars are 19th.
