England: Onyeka, Ndidi, Ekong in action in clubs' win and draw

It was another Saturday for Nigeria players at their club sides to be in the reckoning in the English Premier League and the English Championship.

In the English Premier League, Frank Onyeka's Brentford stunned reigning champions, Manchester City in their match day 16 at the Ethihad Stadium.

 

Onyeka who played for 84 minute and his teammates pulled the chestnut off the fire to win by two goals one away from home.

Wilfred Ndidi was also in action for Leicester City for 33 minute as they got a 2-0 win against Westham away from home.

His compatriot, Kelechi Iheanacho was on the bench all through the game.

For Alex Iwobi and his Everton side it was another loss as they lost to Bournemouth by 3-0 goals to nil.

To the lower tie of English football, William Troost-Ekong captained the side, Samuel Kalu features in Watford’s goalless away league draw.
