The Flying Eagles boast of several players like Jude Sunday, Ibrahim Mohammed ‘Beji’ and Olamilekan Adams who could emerge as top stars at the U20 AFCON, which begins in Egypt tomorrow, but coach Ladan Bosso has picked Caleb Ochedikwu to shine.
Defensive midfielder Ochedikwu is from NLO side Mavlon FC of Makurdi and he has transformed into a top-quality player under the watch of Bosso.
He has a good physical built, good on the ball and could also venture into attack.
Caleb (Ochedikwu) has grown a great deal in this team,” remarked Bosso.
“People should watch out for this boy.”
The exciting midfielder shone for the entire game as the Flying Eagles spanked Moroccan club Kawkab Athletic U23s 6-1 in a final test game Wednesday.
He is currently down the pecking order of the defensive midfielders as both Daniel Daga and Onuche Ogbelu are ahead of him.
But with the huge strides he has achieved recently, he could force his way into the Flying Eagles starting XI as this U20 AFCON gathers steam.
