EFL: Wilfred Ndidi gets first season goal

Nigeria Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi was on the score sheet for Leicester City in their emphatic win over Tranmere Rovers on Monday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Ndidi scored that third goal as the Foxes thrashed their opponents 4-0 to advance to the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Ghanaian striker and new signing, Jordan Ayew began the onslaught scoring his first goal for Leicester and the first goal of the game on  the 38th minute.

In the second half, Stephy Mavididi stepped up to score from the spot to make it 2-0 after Ricardo was fouled in the box in the 50th minute.

Ndidi will make it three following a fine finish where beat his marker to put the ball beyond the goalkepper courtesy of an assist from Ayew to give the host a 3-goal lead.

Harry Winksy got the icing on the cake with a screamer of a goal to give Steve Cooper his first win this season.
