Eddie Ansah insists he's the right man to guide Hearts of Oak to safety despite derby defeat to Kotoko

Hearts of Oak stop-gap coach Eddie Ansah insists he is the right man to lead the club from their relegation quagmire despite losing the Ghana Premier League derby on Sunday.

The Phobians were beaten 2-1 by Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium to keep them in the bottom three of the league table.

There are fears that defeat could be Ansah’s graveyard but the ex-Ghana international goalkeeper

"At the moment I am in control. I believe I have what it takes to pull Hearts of Oak out of this mess," Ansah said at a post match interview.

"The battle is lost but not the war. We have five matches to go and we will give our all. A coach is judged by the performance of his team. I believe we will come out of this situation."

Hearts will next face Liberty Professionals in Dansoman on Wednesday.
