Most top leagues in Europe have been on break due to on going World Cup tournament in Qatar with Serie A not left of this break.
With this, most club in Serie A including Salernitana FC have as well given their players some days off.
After a couple of weeks, Salernitana today resume training with their players.
Nigerian internationals Simmy Nwankwo and Joel Obi are expected to be part of the training at the Mary Rosy sports centre.
The three players involved in the World Cup will obviously be missing: Bronn (eliminated but will be given a rest period), Piatek and Dia (who will instead play the round of 16) as well as the injured Mazzocchi.
The players involved with their respective national teams immediately after the championship stop will also have a few more days of rest, i.e. Pirola, Botheim, Kastanos, Lassana Coulibaly and Valencia.
According to Tuttosport Salernitana, the Salerno based team will have a week of work in the city then another in Turkey in Antalya where they play both Fenerbahce and Antalyaspor on the 10th and 15th of this month.
Salerlitana are 12th on the league table, playing AC Milan on Jan 4 next year when the league resume.
