His comments come following Nigeria's recent goalless draw against Rwanda on Tuesday.

In an interview with Completesports.com, Dosu reflected positively on the team's recent performances, emphasizing the notable determination and hunger displayed by the players.

Despite the draw with Rwanda, Dosu highlighted the encouraging signs from the team’s efforts in their previous matches, including a convincing 3-0 victory over Benin.

“I am truly impressed with the level of hunger and determination shown by the team in their recent games,” Dosu stated. “Although the result against Rwanda was a draw, the commitment and attitude of the players suggest they are beginning to find their rhythm and form.”

Dosu’s confidence in Nigeria's qualification prospects remains high, regardless of the current results. “I firmly believe that Nigeria will secure a spot in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations,” he added. “The fighting spirit within the team is evident, and I am confident that the Super Eagles will deliver strong performances in their upcoming matches.”

Dosu Joseph, who earned acclaim as a key player for Nigeria, has a storied history with the national team. He was instrumental in Nigeria’s triumphs, including their victory in the 1996 Olympic Games where the Nigerian team clinched the gold medal.

He was the only home-based player to be included in Nigeria's 1996 Olympic team. Dosu, who helped Nigeria qualify for the 1998 World Cup tournament, missed out following an auto crash. He was however in France for the Mundial as a surprise spectator with his manager, Churchill Oliseh.

His contributions to the national team have solidified his reputation as one of Nigeria's esteemed footballing figures.

Dosu’s optimism reflects a broader sense of hope within Nigerian football circles as the Super Eagles continue their quest for AFCON qualification. The team’s resilience and improved performances in recent fixtures provide a solid foundation for their ambitions in the qualifiers.
