Middlesbrough star Albert Adomah says his team-mates don’t care about Manchester City’s excuses after Boro beat the Premier League champions 2-0 in the FA Cup.
The Championship outfit claimed a shock victory in the fourth round with Patrick Bamford and Kike scoring second half goals to dump out their top flight opponents.
Some have claimed Manuel Pellegrini’s side returning from a warm weather training camp just 24 hours prior to the clash played a part in their loss, but Adomah insists they couldn’t care less what their opposition were doing before the match.
He said: “Obviously it’s their duty, they [the Manchester City players] have to travel abroad, but we weren’t concerned about that. We were more focussed on our game and beating them and we found a way to do it. That was the main issue for us.
“We won and we don’t care about what they did before or what they were planning to do.”
