Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has explained the late substitution involving Mohammed Kudus during his side’s 3-1 victory over Coventry in the seventh round of the English Premier League.
The result gave Tottenham their first win of the new season.
De Zerbi also brought Dejan Kulusevski on during the closing stages, a moment that marked the midfielder’s first appearance for the club in 526 days. The Sweden international had been sidelined for that entire period by a serious knee injury.
Kulusevski’s return was a notable moment for Tottenham supporters, who had waited more than a year and five months to see him back on the pitch.
