Former AC Milan player Patrick Cutrone is on the verge of joining Fiorentina from Wolves after he gave his approval, with only the clubs needing to agree terms of the deal.
Wolves paid €18 million for Cutrone in July 2019, but the striker has failed to make much of an impact, starting just three games in his 12 appearances for the club and scoring twice.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina have had a positive response from Cutrone on a move to the Viola, but the two clubs have yet to come to an agreement.
It’s believed that Fiorentina are looking to loan Cutrone for the remainder of the campaign, with Wolves keen to insert a clause which would require La Viola to purchase the Italian international in the summer.
Fiorentina’s sporting director Daniele Prade has identified Cutrone as the player to solve the club’s goal scoring problem.
Negotiations with Wolves are set to continue as the two clubs look to find a solution which will take Cutrone to Florence.
