Asante Kotoko will be without striker Obed Owusu against Hasaacas on Sunday due to the controversy surrounding the player's eligibility, GHANASoccernet.com has gathered.

The use of the player in last month’s league derby against Hearts of Oak cost them six points after a protest by the latter which has seen them slip into the relegation zone.

Checks by GHANASoccernet.com revealed that Asante Kotoko are taking a precautionary measure and excluded the player from the squad to avoid being docked further points.

Owusu is believed to have accumulated four yellow cards in previous Kotoko matches and was ineligible to play against Hearts.
