The current troubles at Hearts of Oak seems to has taken a new turn as captain Robin Gnagne was named as welfare officer on their team-sheet in Sunday's Ghana Premier League defeat at Aduana Stars.
Gnagne sat on the technical bench and watched the entire proceedings as a technical member of the squad.
The Phobians included the 21-year-old Ivorian defender as part of their technical team on Sunday when they slipped to their third straight defeat in all competition after succumbing to a 1-0 loss at Aduana Stars.
The former Sogakope Red Bulls defender was unused by the 21-time Ghana Premier League champions as he sat on the technical bench for the entire duration of the game.
Initially it was thought the defender had suffered an injury and could not play in the game but GHANAsoccernet.com has spotted the team-sheet for the game which showed Gnagne as a welfare officer for Hearts of Oak for the game.
Hearts of Oak, 2000 winners of the CAF Champions League and 2004 winners of the CAF Confederation Cup, have been hit by recent troubles on the local front including dropping into the relegation zone of the Ghanaian Premier League.
The club is currently owing their players and technical team for close to 17 weeks.
