Club World Cup: Odion Ighalo features in Al Hilal's win

Nigeria forward, Odion Jude Ighalo was involved in his club's win at the FIFA Club World Cup match on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernetcom can report.

The 35-year-old played for 82 minutes for Saudi Arabia side, Al Hilal who beat hosts, Wydad Casablanca on penalties to advance.

Ighalo became the fourth Nigerian player to feature in the competition after Mikel Obi, Victor Moses for Chelsea in 2012 and former Flying Eagles’ Obiora Nwankwo, for Inter Milan in 2010.

Ayoub had put the African club side ahead in the 52nd minute before Kanno scored a last gasp goal to put the match at one all and take the match to extra time.

The match went into penalties after extra time where Ighalo's Al Hilal won 5-4 on penalties.
