Change of League resumption date has affected our plans, reveals top Kotoko official Abu Lamine

Top Kotoko official Alhaji Abu Lamine has revealed the change of the date of the resumption of the Ghana Premier League has disrupted their plans.

The second half of the Ghanaian top-flight was initially scheduled to resume on May 17 but the Premier League Board  moved forward to June 7.

The change in date has altered the plans of the Porcupine Warriors, who have been forced to cut short their 12-day camping exercise in Tema.

And Abu Lamine, a former chairman of their 2015 African campaign committee has admitted the change in date has affected their programmes.

“The change in date has really affected our programme. We has scheduled to stay in Tema for 12 days but now that cannot happen,” he said

“To be very honest with you it has disrupted our plans. But we’ll make do with the new date and see how it goes.

“We want to retain our title and we’ll do everything possible to do just that.”

The Porcupine Warriors will travel to Kpando where they face Heart of Lions whom the thrashed 4-0 on the final day of the first round.
