Cagliari have equalled the best start in their history after winning four of their opening five Serie A matches this season.

It is only the second time the club have reached that tally in their first five league games. The previous occasion came in 1969/70, a landmark campaign in which Cagliari won the Scudetto with legendary forward Luigi Riva in their team.
Their next challenge will be considerably tougher, with Juventus due to visit the island in their sixth match of the season.

Cagliari will have time to prepare for the fixture, as Juventus’ visit is not scheduled until 11 October, after the international break.
