Rivers United had already picked the quarter final ticket going into the tie as the 0-1 lose in Yamoussoukro only ensured a second place finish in group B.

They await their next opponent on Wednesday as they aspire to become the first Nigeria club to win CAF inter-club football competition since Enyimba's back to back triumph in 2004 and 2005 CAF Champions League season wins.
