Nigeria Super Falcons duo of striker, Asisat Oshoala and goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie made the shortlist of the CAF Player of the year award after it was streamlined to 10, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
In the reviewed list released to the public by the football regional body, Oshoala and Nnadozie still have Cameroon's Ajara Nchout Njoya, Morocco trio of Anissa Lahmari, Fatima Tagnaout and Ghizlane Chebbak to slug it out with.
Others are South Africa's trio of Andile Dlamini, Hildah Magaja, Thembi Kgatlana and Barbara Banda of Zambia.
Deborah Abiodun and Esther Ajakaye also made the shortlist for the beat young player of the year after the list was cut to 5.
While Coach Randy Waldrum who coached the Falcons at the FIFA Women's World made the 5-mam shortlist for the Coach of the year award.
Nnadozie is still up for the goalkeeper of the year award with Morocco duo of Imane Abdelahad and Khadija Er-rmichi and South Africa duo of Andile Dlamini and Kaylin Swart.
The award ceremony is billed to hold at Marrakesh, Morocco on the 11th of December, 2023
