NPFL Champions, Rivers United have departed Nigeria for Libya ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup second leg additional playoffs tie with Al Naser.

The team left via Cairo, Egypt, and connected another flight to Libya’s second most populous city Benghazi, where their opponents are based.
“Benghazi, Libya in a bit. But first, a brief stopover in Cairo, Egypt,” the club tweeted on Sunday afternoon.

Rivers United cruised to victory in Port Harcourt after winning by five goals to nil in the first leg.
They will seek to consolidate victory in Libya when they play Al Naser on Wednesday, 9th November.
