Kotoko have asked under-pressure coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani to proceed on leave in a latest twist to the unfolding saga, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.
The soft-spoken coach has been asked to step aside following the side's unflattering start to the season.
Dramani is reported to be angry with the latest decision and has dared the management team to take a definite decision on his long-term future.
Kotoko find themselves in a tricky situation as the dismissal of the coach will lead to huge sums of money being paid as compensation for wrongful termination of his contract.
Even though officials are tight-lipped on the latest development, media reports have suggested the former Ghana Under-17 team coach has been asked to step aside in a bid to find a lasting solution to their faltering campaign.
Dramani has lost the board room support following what many perceive as his recalcitrant stance on his tactics.
He has been accused of tinkering too much with his squad and believed to have lost the dressing room plot as well.
Kotoko have endured a difficult start to life this term where they have managed only two wins from seven games and languish in 10th position
It is however unclear who will replace him in the interim as talks with David Duncan continues.
GHANAsoccernet.com revealed earlier this week that the club is also in secret talks with Ashantigold trainer Bashir Hayford.
Heart of Lions trainer Yusif Abubakar is the latest to be linked with the job.
