Borussia Monchengladbach stayed top of the Bundesliga on Saturday as Ramy Bensebaini scored twice, including a stoppage-time penalty, in a 2-1 comeback win over champions Bayern Munich.

Ivan Perisic gave the visitors the lead on 49 minutes, but saw his goal cancelled out on the hour mark by a Bensebaini header.

Algeria international Bensebaini later converted from the spot after Javi Martinez was sent off for bringing down Marcus Thuram in the box.

Gladbach are on 31 points at the top of the league, while Bayern -- who suffered their second consecutive league loss -- dropped to sixth place on 24 points with the defeat.
