Ghana attacker David Accam scored a sublime finish for Chicago Fire in their dramatic 3-2 home loss against Orlando City FC in the American Major League Soccer on Saturday night.
The 24-year-old, who is expected to fly to Accra on Monday to join the rest of the Ghana squad, put Fire into a 2-1 lead after he had assisted Nigerian Kennedy Igboananike for the opener.
It marks Accam's second goal in two games running (after scoring against DC United) and his fourth goal in nine MLS games since the start of the season.
It was an attack Accam started himself around the edge of the area, beautifully cutting through two Orlando City defender and locating a team-mate whose return-pass found him inside the box. And, the former Helsingborg IF star was not going to miss that.
He controlled artfully inside the box and send a good effort to the far right corner.
Before that Accam had led a corner-kick initiation and intelligently tailored a pass for Kennedy to steal the opener unmarked for Frank Yallop's men.
Despite Accam's great show on the night Brazilian defender Dos Santos Adailton gifted two own-goals to Orlando City as they grabbed a 3-2 victory, sending the home fans into a heartbreaking mood.
Accam confirmed to GHANAsoccernet.com he will be in Accra on Monday to join the rest of the Black Stars squad.
