Batshuayi welcomes Osimhen to Galatasaray, plays down rivalry talk

Galatasaray forward Michy Batshuayi has expressed his delight at the arrival of Victor Osimhen, insisting there is no rivalry between himself, Osimhen, and Mauro Icardi, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Belgian international believes the trio's collective goal is to help the Turkish Super Lig champions secure silverware this season.

"There are three great forwards, all three of us are here to contribute to Galatasaray," Batshuayi told the club's official website.

"Of course, the important thing here is the victories that Galatasaray will win."

With manager Okan Buruk facing a selection dilemma, Batshuayi emphasized the importance of teamwork and harmony among the strikers.

“We have all found harmony together and we need to carry Galatasaray towards victories," he added.

Galatasaray's attacking trio will face a stern test on Saturday in the highly-anticipated Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce.
