Lazio manager, Marco Baroni has called on Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to raise his game after a disappointing display in Sunday's 2-0 defeat to AS Roma, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Dele-Bashiru, 22, was substituted at half-time, with Senegal international Boulaye Dia replacing him. The Nigerian had impressed in Lazio's 1-1 draw with Atalanta before the New Year, but failed to replicate that form against Roma.
Baroni told DAZN: "Dele-Bashiru is still learning the position and how to control the ball between the lines. We are working to improve the players we have, and he needs to do more."
The Lazio manager also acknowledged the absence of injured midfielder Matias Vecino, but refused to use it as an excuse for the team's poor performance.
