Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has urged his side to remain focused after making the best start to a season in the club’s history.
The Catalan club beat Racing 7-2 on Wednesday to maintain a perfect record of seven victories from seven matches this campaign. They have scored 33 goals during that run.
Asked about Barcelona’s historic opening to the season, Flick said early success would only matter if the team finished strongly.
“A good start is wonderful, but the most important thing is an excellent finish,” Flick said at his news conference.
“We also performed very well last season before the international break. We need to maintain our concentration.”
Barcelona’s next match comes away to Sevilla on Saturday, 19 September. The fixture will be followed by the international break.
