Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal was absent from the club’s latest training session, leaving his availability for the upcoming La Liga match against Valencia uncertain.
The 19-year-old did not take part in the session, which was under way when the information was reported by journalist Alfredo Martinez. No reason has yet been given for Yamal’s absence.
Barcelona are due to travel to face Valencia on Sunday, 6 September, in the fourth round of the Spanish league. The match is scheduled to begin at 17:15 Moscow time, with Yamal’s involvement now unclear following his failure to train with the squad.
Yamal has made three appearances in La Liga this season and has scored twice. His contribution has therefore been significant during the early stages of the campaign, although Barcelona have not announced why he was missing from the latest training session.
At present, there is no confirmed information to indicate whether his absence is linked to an injury, illness or another issue. The reason remains unknown, and no decision on his participation against Valencia has been reported.
