The Olympique Marseille star will deputize in the absence of substantive captain Asamoah Gyan who has been excused from featuring in the two matches after contracting an infection.
Andre, 25, is no new to this after he was handed the armband to lead the Black Stars on three occasions at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
