Defender Amos Frimpong has been appointed as the substantive captain of Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.

The right-back replaces midfielder Jordan Opoku who was handed the armband on a temporary basis.
Frimpong has been rewarded for his hardwork and commitment to the club over the years.

Many have hailed the leadership qualities of the former BA United guardsman and will be required to lead the side to retain their Premier League crown.
He joined Kotoko four seasons ago and has won three Premier League titles and FA cup during his stay.
