The Nigerian senior national team, the Super Eagles, will commence preparations for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda on September 1, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The team will face Benin Republic on September 7 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, before traveling to Kigali to play Rwanda on September 10.
Despite the upcoming matches, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has yet to appoint a permanent head coach for the Super Eagles.
Technical Director Augustine Eguavoen is expected to lead the team in the interim. The list of players invited for the qualifiers has not been released.
The Super Eagles, three-time African champions, will be seeking to make a strong start in their bid to qualify for the 2025 AFCON after poor run of games at the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
