After a fresh round of inspection with validation for having met the required standards, CAF has given Guinea-Bissau the approval to welcome Nigeria at home and not in Morocco for the Matchday 4 fixture of 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.

CAF earlier restricted Guinea-Bissau from hosting Nigeria at home after their favourite stadiums, Estadio 24 de Setembro and Estadio Lino Correia failed the standard requirements test.

Whilst provision was made to host the game in Morocco, a swift move was also made to renovate the Nacional 24 de Setembro Stadium which the continent's football governing body has now approved.
