igeria Super Eagles midfielder, Alhassan Yusuf has revealed that he suffered a cramp in the game against Equatorial Guinea in the African Cup of Nations opener on Sunday at the Olympic Stadium of Ebimpe, Abidjan, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Royal Antwerp player was stretched out of the pitch in the Super Eagles 1-1 draw against the Thunder of Equatorial Guinea.

Yusuf was replaced by Southampton's Joseph Aribo and it was feared that the injury would be worse. However, it may not be as severe as first thought following the player's reaction after the match.

Asked why he was stretched out in the game, he replied "It's just a cramp, we will see if I’ll be available against Cote D’Iviore”.
