Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah insists the massive 3-0 win over Guinea didn’t come easy as many believe.

The Black Stars eased into the semi finals of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations by blowing away the highly motivated Syli National despite not being at their best on Sunday.

Goals from Kwesi Appiah and Christian Atsu who scored twice handed Ghana the impressive win in Malabo.

Guinea failed to turn up as the Black Stars did well to suffocate the usual fluid attacking style – making the win look very easy.

But defender Jonathan Mensah is adamant they were made to work for the win.

“I don’t think so [about the game being easy],” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“We worked very hard for it [the win] and I think we deserved it.”
