AC Milan begin their Serie A campaign with the visit of Bologna to the Stadio San Siro on Monday evening.
The Diavolo are looking to avoid a third consecutive opening day defeat, but can point to a strong recent record against Bologna, with eight wins from their past nine encounters.
Stefano Piolo’s side come into the new season off the back of an excellent run of results at the tail-end of last term and remain unbeaten in 12 Serie A matches.
Bologna, meanwhile, will be hoping for greater defensive solidity this season and head to the San Siro without a clean sheet in 33 league matches.
At the other end they will be looking to forward Nicola Sansone to keep up his good record against the Rossoneri, with four league goals.
The Veltri have only won one of their past 10 opening Serie A matches however, with a sole victory against Crotone in 2016 their only positive result.
