The current Female African Footballer of the Year will not be contesting for the award after consecutive nominations in 2022 and 2023 after she ranked 20th in 2023.
Meanwhile, the African duo of Barbra Banda and Tabitha Chawinga made the list. Zambia's Barbra Banda plays for Shanghai RCB while Malawian Tabitha Chawinga plays for PSG.
