Ghana Football Association Communications Director Ibrahim Sannie has hinted the striker is feared to have suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

"With Kwesi Appiah the doctors are still looking at him. He's suffered an injury likely to be an anterior cruciate ligament injury," he told Accra-based Asempa FM.

Kwesi Appiah sealed his place in the Ghana squad after excelling at the 2015 AFCON where Ghana finished second to the Ivory Coast.
