Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu insists Mauritius will not be pushovers ahead of their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations opening qualifier next week.

The Ghanaians regrouped for their first training session on Thursday ahead of the encounter at the Accra Sports stadium on June 14.

Coach Avram Grant will be keen to start his campaign on a positive note against a side hugely considered as no match for the West African giants.

Bute Agyemang Badu, who plays for Italian side Udinese insists it won't be a stroll in the park.

"There are no minnows in football these days and so we have to be careful," he said

"They are a strong side and we must give them respect. It's important we attach all the seriousness it requires to ensure we win massively.

"We want to start well and that means we must win for our people."

The Black Stars will move their preparations a notch higher when they host Togo in an international friendly on Monday.
