Nigeria U-17 national team ensured all three points in their second game of the WAFU B tournament against Niger despite going a man  down in the game, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Golden Eaglets secured their first win with a 1-0 victory over Niger U17 courtesy of a 32nd minute goal from Rapha Adams at the University Stadium, Ghana on Sunday.

Rapha Adams gave the Golden Eaglets the lead on 31 minutes before Okorie Chibuike received the matching orders 32 minutes later.

Nevertheless, the Eaglets remained strong to take maximum points at the end of the final whistle.

The victory lifted the Eaglets to second place in Group B with four points from two matches after Burkina Faso defeated Togo 2-0 earlier in the day.

The Nigerian team play Togo in their last group game for a place in the semi final on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Simon Cletus won back to back Most Valuable Player. He has been voted MVP against Burkina Faso and Niger respectively.
