Nigeria's U-17 Women's national team tasted the bitter pill of defeat for the second game in a row in the U-17 Women's World Cup after a loss to France, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Flamingos lost 1-0 to a late goal by France at the Mohammed VI Football Academy (Pitch 1), Sule, Morocco on Wednesday night.

Fathallah Maissa's 81st-minute strike sealed it for France as Flamingos recorded a second loss after their 4-l defeat to Canada.

They play Samoa Island in the last group match as they play with a possible hope of qualification to the round of 16.
