Turkish Super Lig side, Trabzonspor, is contemplating a move for Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The club according to reports from Turkish sports outlet Sporx, sees Iheanacho as a viable alternative to his compatriot Paul Onuachu.

Onuachu, currently on loan at Trabzonspor from Southampton in the Sky Bet Championship, is a key target for the Black Sea Storm. However, complications surrounding meeting Southampton's valuation for a permanent deal may prompt Trabzonspor to explore other options, including Iheanacho.

With Iheanacho's contract with Leicester City set to expire soon and no signs of a renewal, the striker could be available on a free transfer in the upcoming summer window.

Iheanacho in his 22 league matches this season has scored 5 goals, providing a single assist.
