Former Liverpool defender Stig Inge Bjornebye's son Tobias has shared his love for the Reds, and wants to star for them at Anfield one day.

Stig Inge played as a left back for Liverpool in the 1990s, accumulating 157 appearances for the club in all competitions. He was also part of the side that won the League Cup in the 1994/95 season.

Tobias Bjornebye is currently on the books at Norwegian club Rosenborg BK as a youth team player, the club his dad played for before joining Liverpool in 1992.

Anyone else think that Stig Inge Bjornebye was underrated? He always seemed to fly under the radar. Is that just me or do others think not? https://t.co/V0LT7Xhhlj

Stig Inge is actually Rosenborg's sporting director, enabling him to keep a watchful eye over his son's footballing development.

Tobias told LFC TV that he believes himself to have 'more technique' than his dad, who was more of a 'tackler' in his son's eyes.

He went on to describe himself as a 'scouser' despite his Norwegian roots, and professed his will to play in the Premier League for the Reds at some point in his career.

"Dad was more of a tackler, I've got more technique [laughs]"?, Tobias told LFC TV via "?Inside Futbol.

"I'm a Liverpool supporter, I'm a Scouser. I want to play there one day, but it will be tough.I will try to work hard and [play for Liverpool]."?

Stig Inge was loaned out to Rosenborg and Brondby whilst at Liverpool. He eventually left the Merseyside club for Blackburn Rovers in 2000.
