Udinese's shot stopper Maduka Okoye has rallied for the fans maximum support ahead of the crucial game against Roma as the black and white side look to bounce back from the painful defeat table toppers, Inter Milan, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

The match against Inter who currently leads the championship was a nervy one but the enormous heart of the Bianconeri was not enough to earn points. Even greater than the self-sacrifice and spirit of sacrifice shown were the hands of Maduka Okoye , who made three eye-rubbing saves in the first half much to the praise of opposition manager Simone Inzaghi.

On their fight for salvation which seemingly is getting intense, Okoye stated, "we are aware of the situation we find ourselves in and how much this means for us, the club and the fans. I don't see fear in the locker room but we feel the tension, as happens in this sport when you experience periods like that.

"Now the ranking “is the most important thing in our lives, but we want to think step by step. Now in our heads there is only Rome."

The tie with the Giallorossi is scheduled for Sunday at 6pm at the Bluenergy Stadium.

"It represents another opportunity for us to take points".

"I perfectly know how difficult this moment is for our fans, yet they are always with us and help us in every match. Even in the last ones we will need them", he persuaded.
